CVE-2024-0874 | 1 Redhat | 3 Acm, Logging, Openshift | 2024-12-23 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in coredns. This issue could lead to invalid cache entries returning due to incorrectly implemented caching.
CVE-2024-3727 | 1 Redhat | 18 Acm, Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform and 15 more | 2024-12-23 | 8.3 High |
A flaw was found in the github.com/containers/image library. This flaw allows attackers to trigger unexpected authenticated registry accesses on behalf of a victim user, causing resource exhaustion, local path traversal, and other attacks.
CVE-2024-1394 | 1 Redhat | 23 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside and 20 more | 2024-12-23 | 7.5 High |
A memory leak flaw was found in Golang in the RSA encrypting/decrypting code, which might lead to a resource exhaustion vulnerability using attacker-controlled inputs. The memory leak happens in github.com/golang-fips/openssl/openssl/rsa.go#L113. The objects leaked are pkey and ctx. That function uses named return parameters to free pkey and ctx if there is an error initializing the context or setting the different properties. All return statements related to error cases follow the "return nil, nil, fail(...)" pattern, meaning that pkey and ctx will be nil inside the deferred function that should free them.
CVE-2023-44487 | 32 Akka, Amazon, Apache and 29 more | 364 Http Server, Opensearch Data Prepper, Apisix and 361 more | 2024-12-20 | 7.5 High |
The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023.
CVE-2024-9407 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Eus | 2024-12-20 | 4.7 Medium |
A vulnerability exists in the bind-propagation option of the Dockerfile RUN --mount instruction. The system does not properly validate the input passed to this option, allowing users to pass arbitrary parameters to the mount instruction. This issue can be exploited to mount sensitive directories from the host into a container during the build process and, in some cases, modify the contents of those mounted files. Even if SELinux is used, this vulnerability can bypass its protection by allowing the source directory to be relabeled to give the container access to host files.
CVE-2024-1135 | 2 Benoitc, Redhat | 6 Gunicorn, Ansible Automation Platform, Openshift and 3 more | 2024-12-20 | N/A |
Gunicorn fails to properly validate Transfer-Encoding headers, leading to HTTP Request Smuggling (HRS) vulnerabilities. By crafting requests with conflicting Transfer-Encoding headers, attackers can bypass security restrictions and access restricted endpoints. This issue is due to Gunicorn's handling of Transfer-Encoding headers, where it incorrectly processes requests with multiple, conflicting Transfer-Encoding headers, treating them as chunked regardless of the final encoding specified. This vulnerability allows for a range of attacks including cache poisoning, session manipulation, and data exposure.
CVE-2024-36971 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 8 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 5 more | 2024-12-19 | 7.8 High |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix __dst_negative_advice() race __dst_negative_advice() does not enforce proper RCU rules when sk->dst_cache must be cleared, leading to possible UAF. RCU rules are that we must first clear sk->sk_dst_cache, then call dst_release(old_dst). Note that sk_dst_reset(sk) is implementing this protocol correctly, while __dst_negative_advice() uses the wrong order. Given that ip6_negative_advice() has special logic against RTF_CACHE, this means each of the three ->negative_advice() existing methods must perform the sk_dst_reset() themselves. Note the check against NULL dst is centralized in __dst_negative_advice(), there is no need to duplicate it in various callbacks. Many thanks to Clement Lecigne for tracking this issue. This old bug became visible after the blamed commit, using UDP sockets.
CVE-2024-26602 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 9 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 6 more | 2024-12-19 | 5.5 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/membarrier: reduce the ability to hammer on sys_membarrier On some systems, sys_membarrier can be very expensive, causing overall slowdowns for everything. So put a lock on the path in order to serialize the accesses to prevent the ability for this to be called at too high of a frequency and saturate the machine.
CVE-2024-45496 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2024-12-18 | 9.9 Critical |
A flaw was found in OpenShift. This issue occurs due to the misuse of elevated privileges in the OpenShift Container Platform's build process. During the build initialization step, the git-clone container is run with a privileged security context, allowing unrestricted access to the node. An attacker with developer-level access can provide a crafted .gitconfig file containing commands executed during the cloning process, leading to arbitrary command execution on the worker node. An attacker running code in a privileged container could escalate their permissions on the node running the container.
CVE-2024-12698 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2024-12-18 | 6.5 Medium |
An incomplete fix for ose-olm-catalogd-container was issued for the Rapid Reset Vulnerability (CVE-2023-39325/CVE-2023-44487) where only unauthenticated streams were protected, not streams created by authenticated sources.
CVE-2024-11614 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift | 2024-12-18 | N/A |
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in DPDK's Vhost library checksum offload feature. This issue enables an untrusted or compromised guest to crash the hypervisor's vSwitch by forging Virtio descriptors to cause out-of-bounds reads. This flaw allows an attacker with a malicious VM using a virtio driver to cause the vhost-user side to crash by sending a packet with a Tx checksum offload request and an invalid csum_start offset.
CVE-2024-50312 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2024-12-18 | 5.3 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in GraphQL due to improper access controls on the GraphQL introspection query. This flaw allows unauthorized users to retrieve a comprehensive list of available queries and mutations. Exposure to this flaw increases the attack surface, as it can facilitate the discovery of flaws or errors specific to the application's GraphQL implementation.
CVE-2024-9355 | 1 Redhat | 21 Amq Streams, Ansible Automation Platform, Container Native Virtualization and 18 more | 2024-12-18 | 6.5 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in Golang FIPS OpenSSL. This flaw allows a malicious user to randomly cause an uninitialized buffer length variable with a zeroed buffer to be returned in FIPS mode. It may also be possible to force a false positive match between non-equal hashes when comparing a trusted computed hmac sum to an untrusted input sum if an attacker can send a zeroed buffer in place of a pre-computed sum. It is also possible to force a derived key to be all zeros instead of an unpredictable value. This may have follow-on implications for the Go TLS stack.
CVE-2024-9341 | 2 Containers, Redhat | 5 Common, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2024-12-18 | 5.4 Medium |
A flaw was found in Go. When FIPS mode is enabled on a system, container runtimes may incorrectly handle certain file paths due to improper validation in the containers/common Go library. This flaw allows an attacker to exploit symbolic links and trick the system into mounting sensitive host directories inside a container. This issue also allows attackers to access critical host files, bypassing the intended isolation between containers and the host system.
CVE-2024-9676 | 1 Redhat | 20 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 17 more | 2024-12-17 | 6.5 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host.
CVE-2024-9675 | 2 Buildah Project, Redhat | 21 Buildah, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 18 more | 2024-12-17 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in Buildah. Cache mounts do not properly validate that user-specified paths for the cache are within our cache directory, allowing a `RUN` instruction in a Container file to mount an arbitrary directory from the host (read/write) into the container as long as those files can be accessed by the user running Buildah.
CVE-2024-8676 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift | 2024-12-17 | 7.4 High |
A vulnerability was found in CRI-O, where it can be requested to take a checkpoint archive of a container and later be asked to restore it. When it does that restoration, it attempts to restore the mounts from the restore archive instead of the pod request. As a result, the validations run on the pod spec, verifying that the pod has access to the mounts it specifies are not applicable to a restored container. This flaw allows a malicious user to trick CRI-O into restoring a pod that doesn't have access to host mounts. The user needs access to the kubelet or cri-o socket to call the restore endpoint and trigger the restore.
CVE-2024-6508 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2024-12-17 | 8 High |
An insufficient entropy vulnerability was found in the Openshift Console. In the authorization code type and implicit grant type, the OAuth2 protocol is vulnerable to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attack if the state parameter is used inefficiently. This flaw allows logging into the victim’s current application account using a third-party account without any restrictions.
CVE-2023-29400 | 2 Golang, Redhat | 22 Go, Acm, Advanced Cluster Security and 19 more | 2024-12-13 | 7.3 High |
Templates containing actions in unquoted HTML attributes (e.g. "attr={{.}}") executed with empty input can result in output with unexpected results when parsed due to HTML normalization rules. This may allow injection of arbitrary attributes into tags.
CVE-2023-2431 | 3 Fedoraproject, Kubernetes, Redhat | 3 Fedora, Kubernetes, Openshift | 2024-12-12 | 3.4 Low |
A security issue was discovered in Kubelet that allows pods to bypass the seccomp profile enforcement. Pods that use localhost type for seccomp profile but specify an empty profile field, are affected by this issue. In this scenario, this vulnerability allows the pod to run in unconfined (seccomp disabled) mode. This bug affects Kubelet. |
