| CVE-2022-2068 | 7 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 49 Sannav, Debian Linux, Fedora and 46 more | 2026-11-04 | 9.8 Critical |
| In addition to the c_rehash shell command injection identified in CVE-2022-1292, further circumstances where the c_rehash script does not properly sanitise shell metacharacters to prevent command injection were found by code review. When the CVE-2022-1292 was fixed it was not discovered that there are other places in the script where the file names of certificates being hashed were possibly passed to a command executed through the shell. This script is distributed by some operating systems in a manner where it is automatically executed. On such operating systems, an attacker could execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script. Use of the c_rehash script is considered obsolete and should be replaced by the OpenSSL rehash command line tool. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.4 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2,3.0.3). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1p (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1o). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2zf (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2ze). | ||||

| CVE-2024-50379 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Redhat | 6 Tomcat, Bootstrap Os, Hci Compute Node and 3 more | 2026-11-04 | 9.8 Critical |
| Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition vulnerability during JSP compilation in Apache Tomcat permits an RCE on case insensitive file systems when the default servlet is enabled for write (non-default configuration). This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.1, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.33, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.97. The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are known to be affected: 8.5.0 though 8.5.100. Other, older, EOL versions may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.2, 10.1.34 or 9.0.98, which fixes the issue. | ||||
| CVE-2026-76166 | 1 Redhat | 7 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack, Jboss Enterprise Web Server and 4 more | 2026-11-03 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in mod_cluster's AdvertiseListenerImpl (org.jboss.modcluster core module). A single crafted UDP multicast datagram with a valid HTTP status line and a "Server:" header but without the "Date:", "Digest:", and "Sequence:" headers triggers a NullPointerException in verifyDigest() that is not caught by the worker thread's exception handler. This causes the advertise listener thread to terminate permanently. The failure is silent (isListening() continues to return true) and persists until the node is restarted. The crash occurs before the AdvertiseSecurityKey comparison, so deployments with a configured security key are still affected. | ||||
| CVE-2019-10072 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 2 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2026-11-02 | N/A |
| The fix for CVE-2019-0199 was incomplete and did not address HTTP/2 connection window exhaustion on write in Apache Tomcat versions 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.19 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.40 . By not sending WINDOW_UPDATE messages for the connection window (stream 0) clients were able to cause server-side threads to block eventually leading to thread exhaustion and a DoS. | ||||
| CVE-2019-0232 | 3 Apache, Microsoft, Redhat | 3 Tomcat, Windows, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2026-11-02 | N/A |
| When running on Windows with enableCmdLineArguments enabled, the CGI Servlet in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.17, 8.5.0 to 8.5.39 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.93 is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution due to a bug in the way the JRE passes command line arguments to Windows. The CGI Servlet is disabled by default. The CGI option enableCmdLineArguments is disable by default in Tomcat 9.0.x (and will be disabled by default in all versions in response to this vulnerability). For a detailed explanation of the JRE behaviour, see Markus Wulftange's blog (https://codewhitesec.blogspot.com/2016/02/java-and-command-line-injections-in-windows.html) and this archived MSDN blog (https://web.archive.org/web/20161228144344/https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/twistylittlepassagesallalike/2011/04/23/everyone-quotes-command-line-arguments-the-wrong-way/). | ||||
| CVE-2019-0221 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 2 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2026-11-02 | N/A |
| The SSI printenv command in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.17, 8.5.0 to 8.5.39 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.93 echoes user provided data without escaping and is, therefore, vulnerable to XSS. SSI is disabled by default. The printenv command is intended for debugging and is unlikely to be present in a production website. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5647 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2026-11-02 | N/A |
| A bug in the handling of the pipelined requests in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M18, 8.5.0 to 8.5.12, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.42, 7.0.0 to 7.0.76, and 6.0.0 to 6.0.52, when send file was used, results in the pipelined request being lost when send file processing of the previous request completed. This could result in responses appearing to be sent for the wrong request. For example, a user agent that sent requests A, B and C could see the correct response for request A, the response for request C for request B and no response for request C. | ||||
| CVE-2018-8014 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 12 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 9 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| The defaults settings for the CORS filter provided in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.8, 8.5.0 to 8.5.31, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.52, 7.0.41 to 7.0.88 are insecure and enable 'supportsCredentials' for all origins. It is expected that users of the CORS filter will have configured it appropriately for their environment rather than using it in the default configuration. Therefore, it is expected that most users will not be impacted by this issue. | ||||
| CVE-2018-1305 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 10 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 7 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| Security constraints defined by annotations of Servlets in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 were only applied once a Servlet had been loaded. Because security constraints defined in this way apply to the URL pattern and any URLs below that point, it was possible - depending on the order Servlets were loaded - for some security constraints not to be applied. This could have exposed resources to users who were not authorised to access them. | ||||
| CVE-2018-1304 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 13 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 10 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| The URL pattern of "" (the empty string) which exactly maps to the context root was not correctly handled in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 when used as part of a security constraint definition. This caused the constraint to be ignored. It was, therefore, possible for unauthorised users to gain access to web application resources that should have been protected. Only security constraints with a URL pattern of the empty string were affected. | ||||
| CVE-2018-11784 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 17 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 14 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| When the default servlet in Apache Tomcat versions 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.11, 8.5.0 to 8.5.33 and 7.0.23 to 7.0.90 returned a redirect to a directory (e.g. redirecting to '/foo/' when the user requested '/foo') a specially crafted URL could be used to cause the redirect to be generated to any URI of the attackers choice. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5664 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 4 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform and 1 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| The error page mechanism of the Java Servlet Specification requires that, when an error occurs and an error page is configured for the error that occurred, the original request and response are forwarded to the error page. This means that the request is presented to the error page with the original HTTP method. If the error page is a static file, expected behaviour is to serve content of the file as if processing a GET request, regardless of the actual HTTP method. The Default Servlet in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M20, 8.5.0 to 8.5.14, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.43 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.77 did not do this. Depending on the original request this could lead to unexpected and undesirable results for static error pages including, if the DefaultServlet is configured to permit writes, the replacement or removal of the custom error page. Notes for other user provided error pages: (1) Unless explicitly coded otherwise, JSPs ignore the HTTP method. JSPs used as error pages must must ensure that they handle any error dispatch as a GET request, regardless of the actual method. (2) By default, the response generated by a Servlet does depend on the HTTP method. Custom Servlets used as error pages must ensure that they handle any error dispatch as a GET request, regardless of the actual method. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5648 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| While investigating bug 60718, it was noticed that some calls to application listeners in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M17, 8.5.0 to 8.5.11, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.41, and 7.0.0 to 7.0.75 did not use the appropriate facade object. When running an untrusted application under a SecurityManager, it was therefore possible for that untrusted application to retain a reference to the request or response object and thereby access and/or modify information associated with another web application. | ||||
| CVE-2017-12616 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 2 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| When using a VirtualDirContext with Apache Tomcat 7.0.0 to 7.0.80 it was possible to bypass security constraints and/or view the source code of JSPs for resources served by the VirtualDirContext using a specially crafted request. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6794 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 15 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 12 more | 2026-10-15 | 5.3 Medium |
| When a SecurityManager is configured, a web application's ability to read system properties should be controlled by the SecurityManager. In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M9, 8.5.0 to 8.5.4, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.36, 7.0.0 to 7.0.70, 6.0.0 to 6.0.45 the system property replacement feature for configuration files could be used by a malicious web application to bypass the SecurityManager and read system properties that should not be visible. | ||||
| CVE-2016-5388 | 4 Apache, Hp, Oracle and 1 more | 13 Tomcat, System Management Homepage, Linux and 10 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| Apache Tomcat 7.x through 7.0.70 and 8.x through 8.5.4, when the CGI Servlet is enabled, follows RFC 3875 section 4.1.18 and therefore does not protect applications from the presence of untrusted client data in the HTTP_PROXY environment variable, which might allow remote attackers to redirect an application's outbound HTTP traffic to an arbitrary proxy server via a crafted Proxy header in an HTTP request, aka an "httpoxy" issue. NOTE: the vendor states "A mitigation is planned for future releases of Tomcat, tracked as CVE-2016-5388"; in other words, this is not a CVE ID for a vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2016-0763 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 5 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 2 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| The setGlobalContext method in org/apache/naming/factory/ResourceLinkFactory.java in Apache Tomcat 7.x before 7.0.68, 8.x before 8.0.31, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M3 does not consider whether ResourceLinkFactory.setGlobalContext callers are authorized, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended SecurityManager restrictions and read or write to arbitrary application data, or cause a denial of service (application disruption), via a web application that sets a crafted global context. | ||||
| CVE-2016-0714 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 5 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 2 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| The session-persistence implementation in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.45, 7.x before 7.0.68, 8.x before 8.0.31, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M2 mishandles session attributes, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended SecurityManager restrictions and execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a web application that places a crafted object in a session. | ||||
| CVE-2016-0706 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 5 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 2 more | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.45, 7.x before 7.0.68, 8.x before 8.0.31, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M2 does not place org.apache.catalina.manager.StatusManagerServlet on the org/apache/catalina/core/RestrictedServlets.properties list, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended SecurityManager restrictions and read arbitrary HTTP requests, and consequently discover session ID values, via a crafted web application. | ||||
