CVE-2022-2097 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more | 16 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 13 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.3 Medium |
AES OCB mode for 32-bit x86 platforms using the AES-NI assembly optimised implementation will not encrypt the entirety of the data under some circumstances. This could reveal sixteen bytes of data that was preexisting in the memory that wasn't written. In the special case of "in place" encryption, sixteen bytes of the plaintext would be revealed. Since OpenSSL does not support OCB based cipher suites for TLS and DTLS, they are both unaffected. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.5 (Affected 3.0.0-3.0.4). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1q (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1p).

CVE-2022-29824 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more | 26 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 23 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
In libxml2 before 2.9.14, several buffer handling functions in buf.c (xmlBuf*) and tree.c (xmlBuffer*) don't check for integer overflows. This can result in out-of-bounds memory writes. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted, multi-gigabyte XML file. Other software using libxml2's buffer functions, for example libxslt through 1.1.35, is affected as well.
CVE-2022-28796 | 4 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 24 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager and 21 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
jbd2_journal_wait_updates in fs/jbd2/transaction.c in the Linux kernel before 5.17.1 has a use-after-free caused by a transaction_t race condition.
CVE-2022-28734 | 3 Gnu, Netapp, Redhat | 5 Grub2, Active Iq Unified Manager, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
Out-of-bounds write when handling split HTTP headers; When handling split HTTP headers, GRUB2 HTTP code accidentally moves its internal data buffer point by one position. This can lead to a out-of-bound write further when parsing the HTTP request, writing a NULL byte past the buffer. It's conceivable that an attacker controlled set of packets can lead to corruption of the GRUB2's internal memory metadata.
CVE-2022-27778 | 4 Haxx, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more | 19 Curl, Active Iq Unified Manager, Bh500s Firmware and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
A use of incorrectly resolved name vulnerability fixed in 7.83.1 might remove the wrong file when `--no-clobber` is used together with `--remove-on-error`.
CVE-2022-27223 | 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp | 17 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager and 14 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
In drivers/usb/gadget/udc/udc-xilinx.c in the Linux kernel before 5.16.12, the endpoint index is not validated and might be manipulated by the host for out-of-array access.
CVE-2022-26966 | 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp | 17 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager and 14 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.16.12. drivers/net/usb/sr9700.c allows attackers to obtain sensitive information from heap memory via crafted frame lengths from a device.
CVE-2022-26488 | 3 Microsoft, Netapp, Python | 4 Windows, Active Iq Unified Manager, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
In Python before 3.10.3 on Windows, local users can gain privileges because the search path is inadequately secured. The installer may allow a local attacker to add user-writable directories to the system search path. To exploit, an administrator must have installed Python for all users and enabled PATH entries. A non-administrative user can trigger a repair that incorrectly adds user-writable paths into PATH, enabling search-path hijacking of other users and system services. This affects Python (CPython) through 3.7.12, 3.8.x through 3.8.12, 3.9.x through 3.9.10, and 3.10.x through 3.10.2.
CVE-2022-26336 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Redhat | 3 Poi, Active Iq Unified Manager, Jboss Fuse | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
A shortcoming in the HMEF package of poi-scratchpad (Apache POI) allows an attacker to cause an Out of Memory exception. This package is used to read TNEF files (Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server). If an application uses poi-scratchpad to parse TNEF files and the application allows untrusted users to supply them, then a carefully crafted file can cause an Out of Memory exception. This issue affects poi-scratchpad version 5.2.0 and prior versions. Users are recommended to upgrade to poi-scratchpad 5.2.1.
CVE-2022-25647 | 5 Debian, Google, Netapp and 2 more | 13 Debian Linux, Gson, Active Iq Unified Manager and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.7 High |
The package com.google.code.gson:gson before 2.8.9 are vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data via the writeReplace() method in internal classes, which may lead to DoS attacks.
CVE-2022-25258 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 14 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 Medium |
An issue was discovered in drivers/usb/gadget/composite.c in the Linux kernel before 5.16.10. The USB Gadget subsystem lacks certain validation of interface OS descriptor requests (ones with a large array index and ones associated with NULL function pointer retrieval). Memory corruption might occur.
CVE-2022-24903 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more | 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing. Modules for TCP syslog reception have a potential heap buffer overflow when octet-counted framing is used. This can result in a segfault or some other malfunction. As of our understanding, this vulnerability can not be used for remote code execution. But there may still be a slight chance for experts to do that. The bug occurs when the octet count is read. While there is a check for the maximum number of octets, digits are written to a heap buffer even when the octet count is over the maximum, This can be used to overrun the memory buffer. However, once the sequence of digits stop, no additional characters can be added to the buffer. In our opinion, this makes remote exploits impossible or at least highly complex. Octet-counted framing is one of two potential framing modes. It is relatively uncommon, but enabled by default on receivers. Modules `imtcp`, `imptcp`, `imgssapi`, and `imhttp` are used for regular syslog message reception. It is best practice not to directly expose them to the public. When this practice is followed, the risk is considerably lower. Module `imdiag` is a diagnostics module primarily intended for testbench runs. We do not expect it to be present on any production installation. Octet-counted framing is not very common. Usually, it needs to be specifically enabled at senders. If users do not need it, they can turn it off for the most important modules. This will mitigate the vulnerability.
CVE-2022-24891 | 3 Netapp, Oracle, Owasp | 4 Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Weblogic Server and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.4 Medium |
ESAPI (The OWASP Enterprise Security API) is a free, open source, web application security control library. Prior to version 2.3.0.0, there is a potential for a cross-site scripting vulnerability in ESAPI caused by a incorrect regular expression for "onsiteURL" in the **antisamy-esapi.xml** configuration file that can cause "javascript:" URLs to fail to be correctly sanitized. This issue is patched in ESAPI 2.3.0.0. As a workaround, manually edit the **antisamy-esapi.xml** configuration files to change the "onsiteURL" regular expression. More information about remediation of the vulnerability, including the workaround, is available in the maintainers' release notes and security bulletin.
CVE-2022-24823 | 4 Netapp, Netty, Oracle and 1 more | 10 Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snapcenter and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
Netty is an open-source, asynchronous event-driven network application framework. The package `io.netty:netty-codec-http` prior to version 4.1.77.Final contains an insufficient fix for CVE-2021-21290. When Netty's multipart decoders are used local information disclosure can occur via the local system temporary directory if temporary storing uploads on the disk is enabled. This only impacts applications running on Java version 6 and lower. Additionally, this vulnerability impacts code running on Unix-like systems, and very old versions of Mac OSX and Windows as they all share the system temporary directory between all users. Version 4.1.77.Final contains a patch for this vulnerability. As a workaround, specify one's own `java.io.tmpdir` when starting the JVM or use DefaultHttpDataFactory.setBaseDir(...) to set the directory to something that is only readable by the current user.
CVE-2022-24407 | 6 Cyrusimap, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 14 Cyrus-sasl, Debian Linux, Fedora and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
In Cyrus SASL 2.1.17 through 2.1.27 before 2.1.28, plugins/sql.c does not escape the password for a SQL INSERT or UPDATE statement.
CVE-2022-23913 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Redhat | 8 Activemq Artemis, Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Workflow Automation and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
In Apache ActiveMQ Artemis prior to 2.20.0 or 2.19.1, an attacker could partially disrupt availability (DoS) through uncontrolled resource consumption of memory.
CVE-2022-23457 | 3 Netapp, Oracle, Owasp | 4 Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Weblogic Server and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
ESAPI (The OWASP Enterprise Security API) is a free, open source, web application security control library. Prior to version 2.3.0.0, the default implementation of `Validator.getValidDirectoryPath(String, String, File, boolean)` may incorrectly treat the tested input string as a child of the specified parent directory. This potentially could allow control-flow bypass checks to be defeated if an attack can specify the entire string representing the 'input' path. This vulnerability is patched in release 2.3.0.0 of ESAPI. As a workaround, it is possible to write one's own implementation of the Validator interface. However, maintainers do not recommend this. |
