CVE-2020-27749 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.7 Medium |
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. Variable names present are expanded in the supplied command line into their corresponding variable contents, using a 1kB stack buffer for temporary storage, without sufficient bounds checking. If the function is called with a command line that references a variable with a sufficiently large payload, it is possible to overflow the stack buffer, corrupt the stack frame and control execution which could also circumvent Secure Boot protections. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-25719 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 15 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 High |
A flaw was found in the way Samba, as an Active Directory Domain Controller, implemented Kerberos name-based authentication. The Samba AD DC, could become confused about the user a ticket represents if it did not strictly require a Kerberos PAC and always use the SIDs found within. The result could include total domain compromise.
CVE-2020-25717 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 28 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 25 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
A flaw was found in the way Samba maps domain users to local users. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to cause possible privilege escalation.
CVE-2020-25647 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.6 High |
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. During USB device initialization, descriptors are read with very little bounds checking and assumes the USB device is providing sane values. If properly exploited, an attacker could trigger memory corruption leading to arbitrary code execution allowing a bypass of the Secure Boot mechanism. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-25632 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.2 High |
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. The rmmod implementation allows the unloading of a module used as a dependency without checking if any other dependent module is still loaded leading to a use-after-free scenario. This could allow arbitrary code to be executed or a bypass of Secure Boot protections. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-14372 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 13 Fedora, Grub2, Cloud Backup and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06, where it incorrectly enables the usage of the ACPI command when Secure Boot is enabled. This flaw allows an attacker with privileged access to craft a Secondary System Description Table (SSDT) containing code to overwrite the Linux kernel lockdown variable content directly into memory. The table is further loaded and executed by the kernel, defeating its Secure Boot lockdown and allowing the attacker to load unsigned code. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity, as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-14311 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Grub2, Leap and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.7 Medium |
There is an issue with grub2 before version 2.06 while handling symlink on ext filesystems. A filesystem containing a symbolic link with an inode size of UINT32_MAX causes an arithmetic overflow leading to a zero-sized memory allocation with subsequent heap-based buffer overflow.
CVE-2020-14310 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Grub2, Leap and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.7 Medium |
There is an issue on grub2 before version 2.06 at function read_section_as_string(). It expects a font name to be at max UINT32_MAX - 1 length in bytes but it doesn't verify it before proceed with buffer allocation to read the value from the font value. An attacker may leverage that by crafting a malicious font file which has a name with UINT32_MAX, leading to read_section_as_string() to an arithmetic overflow, zero-sized allocation and further heap-based buffer overflow.
CVE-2020-14301 | 2 Netapp, Redhat | 14 Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility, Advanced Virtualization, Codeready Linux Builder and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
An information disclosure vulnerability was found in libvirt in versions before 6.3.0. HTTP cookies used to access network-based disks were saved in the XML dump of the guest domain. This flaw allows an attacker to access potentially sensitive information in the domain configuration via the `dumpxml` command.
CVE-2019-9959 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Freedesktop and 1 more | 7 Debian Linux, Fedora, Poppler and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
The JPXStream::init function in Poppler 0.78.0 and earlier doesn't check for negative values of stream length, leading to an Integer Overflow, thereby making it possible to allocate a large memory chunk on the heap, with a size controlled by an attacker, as demonstrated by pdftocairo.
CVE-2019-9903 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
PDFDoc::markObject in PDFDoc.cc in Poppler 0.74.0 mishandles dict marking, leading to stack consumption in the function Dict::find() located at Dict.cc, which can (for example) be triggered by passing a crafted pdf file to the pdfunite binary.
CVE-2019-9810 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 7 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
Incorrect alias information in IonMonkey JIT compiler for Array.prototype.slice method may lead to missing bounds check and a buffer overflow. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 66.0.1, Firefox ESR < 60.6.1, and Thunderbird < 60.6.1.
CVE-2019-9792 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 7 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
The IonMonkey just-in-time (JIT) compiler can leak an internal JS_OPTIMIZED_OUT magic value to the running script during a bailout. This magic value can then be used by JavaScript to achieve memory corruption, which results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 60.6, Firefox ESR < 60.6, and Firefox < 66.
CVE-2019-9791 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 7 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
The type inference system allows the compilation of functions that can cause type confusions between arbitrary objects when compiled through the IonMonkey just-in-time (JIT) compiler and when the constructor function is entered through on-stack replacement (OSR). This allows for possible arbitrary reading and writing of objects during an exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 60.6, Firefox ESR < 60.6, and Firefox < 66.
CVE-2019-9788 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 7 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
Mozilla developers and community members reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 65, Firefox ESR 60.5, and Thunderbird 60.5. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 60.6, Firefox ESR < 60.6, and Firefox < 66.
CVE-2019-9755 | 2 Redhat, Tuxera | 7 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
An integer underflow issue exists in ntfs-3g 2017.3.23. A local attacker could potentially exploit this by running /bin/ntfs-3g with specially crafted arguments from a specially crafted directory to cause a heap buffer overflow, resulting in a crash or the ability to execute arbitrary code. In installations where /bin/ntfs-3g is a setuid-root binary, this could lead to a local escalation of privileges.
CVE-2019-9636 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 21 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 18 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
Python 2.7.x through 2.7.16 and 3.x through 3.7.2 is affected by: Improper Handling of Unicode Encoding (with an incorrect netloc) during NFKC normalization. The impact is: Information disclosure (credentials, cookies, etc. that are cached against a given hostname). The components are: urllib.parse.urlsplit, urllib.parse.urlparse. The attack vector is: A specially crafted URL could be incorrectly parsed to locate cookies or authentication data and send that information to a different host than when parsed correctly. This is fixed in: v2.7.17, v2.7.17rc1, v2.7.18, v2.7.18rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.7, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.3, v3.7.3rc1, v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9.
CVE-2019-9506 | 8 Apple, Blackberry, Canonical and 5 more | 280 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 277 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
The Bluetooth BR/EDR specification up to and including version 5.1 permits sufficiently low encryption key length and does not prevent an attacker from influencing the key length negotiation. This allows practical brute-force attacks (aka "KNOB") that can decrypt traffic and inject arbitrary ciphertext without the victim noticing.
CVE-2019-8720 | 3 Redhat, Webkitgtk, Wpewebkit | 24 Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder For Arm64 Eus and 21 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in WebKit. The flaw is triggered when processing maliciously crafted web content that may lead to arbitrary code execution. Improved memory handling addresses the multiple memory corruption issues.
CVE-2019-8308 | 3 Debian, Flatpak, Redhat | 9 Debian Linux, Flatpak, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Flatpak before 1.0.7, and 1.1.x and 1.2.x before 1.2.3, exposes /proc in the apply_extra script sandbox, which allows attackers to modify a host-side executable file. |
