CVE-2024-12401 | 1 Redhat | 8 Cert Manager, Cryostat, Hybrid Cloud Gateway and 5 more | 2024-12-12 | 4.4 Medium |
A flaw was found in the cert-manager package. This flaw allows an attacker who can modify PEM data that the cert-manager reads, for example, in a Secret resource, to use large amounts of CPU in the cert-manager controller pod to effectively create a denial-of-service (DoS) vector for the cert-manager in the cluster.
CVE-2024-7409 | 1 Redhat | 4 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2024-12-12 | N/A |
A flaw was found in the QEMU NBD Server. This vulnerability allows a denial of service (DoS) attack via improper synchronization during socket closure when a client keeps a socket open as the server is taken offline.
CVE-2024-5154 | 2 Kubernetes, Redhat | 4 Cri-o, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2024-12-11 | 8.1 High |
A flaw was found in cri-o. A malicious container can create a symbolic link to arbitrary files on the host via directory traversal (“../“). This flaw allows the container to read and write to arbitrary files on the host system.
CVE-2024-4369 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2024-12-06 | 6.8 Medium |
An information disclosure flaw was found in OpenShift's internal image registry operator. The AZURE_CLIENT_SECRET can be exposed through an environment variable defined in the pod definition, but is limited to Azure environments. An attacker controlling an account that has high enough permissions to obtain pod information from the openshift-image-registry namespace could use this obtained client secret to perform actions as the registry operator's Azure service account.
CVE-2023-28642 | 2 Linuxfoundation, Redhat | 6 Runc, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 3 more | 2024-12-06 | 6.1 Medium |
runc is a CLI tool for spawning and running containers according to the OCI specification. It was found that AppArmor can be bypassed when `/proc` inside the container is symlinked with a specific mount configuration. This issue has been fixed in runc version 1.1.5, by prohibiting symlinked `/proc`. See PR #3785 for details. users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should avoid using an untrusted container image.
CVE-2023-27561 | 3 Debian, Linuxfoundation, Redhat | 5 Debian Linux, Runc, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-12-06 | 7 High |
runc through 1.1.4 has Incorrect Access Control leading to Escalation of Privileges, related to libcontainer/rootfs_linux.go. To exploit this, an attacker must be able to spawn two containers with custom volume-mount configurations, and be able to run custom images. NOTE: this issue exists because of a CVE-2019-19921 regression.
CVE-2023-5625 | 1 Redhat | 9 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform For Arm64 and 6 more | 2024-12-06 | 5.3 Medium |
A regression was introduced in the Red Hat build of python-eventlet due to a change in the patch application strategy, resulting in a patch for CVE-2021-21419 not being applied for all builds of all products.
CVE-2024-50311 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2024-12-04 | 6.5 Medium |
A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability was found in OpenShift. This flaw allows attackers to exploit the GraphQL batching functionality. The vulnerability arises when multiple queries can be sent within a single request, enabling an attacker to submit a request containing thousands of aliases in one query. This issue causes excessive resource consumption, leading to application unavailability for legitimate users.
CVE-2024-7079 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2024-12-03 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Openshift console. The /API/helm/verify endpoint is tasked to fetch and verify the installation of a Helm chart from a URI that is remote HTTP/HTTPS or local. Access to this endpoint is gated by the authHandlerWithUser() middleware function. Contrary to its name, this middleware function does not verify the validity of the user's credentials. As a result, unauthenticated users can access this endpoint.
CVE-2024-7128 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2024-12-03 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. Several endpoints in the application use the authHandler() and authHandlerWithUser() middleware functions. When the default authentication provider ("openShiftAuth") is set, these functions do not perform any authentication checks, relying instead on the targeted service to handle authentication and authorization. This issue leads to various degrees of data exposure due to a lack of proper credential verification.
CVE-2023-26136 | 2 Redhat, Salesforce | 8 Acm, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Logging and 5 more | 2024-12-03 | 6.5 Medium |
Versions of the package tough-cookie before 4.1.3 are vulnerable to Prototype Pollution due to improper handling of Cookies when using CookieJar in rejectPublicSuffixes=false mode. This issue arises from the manner in which the objects are initialized.
CVE-2023-48795 | 43 9bis, Apache, Apple and 40 more | 78 Kitty, Sshd, Sshj and 75 more | 2024-12-02 | 5.9 Medium |
The SSH transport protocol with certain OpenSSH extensions, found in OpenSSH before 9.6 and other products, allows remote attackers to bypass integrity checks such that some packets are omitted (from the extension negotiation message), and a client and server may consequently end up with a connection for which some security features have been downgraded or disabled, aka a Terrapin attack. This occurs because the SSH Binary Packet Protocol (BPP), implemented by these extensions, mishandles the handshake phase and mishandles use of sequence numbers. For example, there is an effective attack against SSH's use of ChaCha20-Poly1305 (and CBC with Encrypt-then-MAC). The bypass occurs in [email protected] and (if CBC is used) the [email protected] MAC algorithms. This also affects Maverick Synergy Java SSH API before 3.1.0-SNAPSHOT, Dropbear through 2022.83, Ssh before 5.1.1 in Erlang/OTP, PuTTY before 0.80, AsyncSSH before 2.14.2, golang.org/x/crypto before 0.17.0, libssh before 0.10.6, libssh2 through 1.11.0, Thorn Tech SFTP Gateway before 3.4.6, Tera Term before 5.1, Paramiko before 3.4.0, jsch before 0.2.15, SFTPGo before 2.5.6, Netgate pfSense Plus through 23.09.1, Netgate pfSense CE through 2.7.2, HPN-SSH through 18.2.0, ProFTPD before 1.3.8b (and before 1.3.9rc2), ORYX CycloneSSH before 2.3.4, NetSarang XShell 7 before Build 0144, CrushFTP before 10.6.0, ConnectBot SSH library before 2.2.22, Apache MINA sshd through 2.11.0, sshj through 0.37.0, TinySSH through 20230101, trilead-ssh2 6401, LANCOM LCOS and LANconfig, FileZilla before 3.66.4, Nova before 11.8, PKIX-SSH before 14.4, SecureCRT before 9.4.3, Transmit5 before 5.10.4, Win32-OpenSSH before 9.5.0.0p1-Beta, WinSCP before 6.2.2, Bitvise SSH Server before 9.32, Bitvise SSH Client before 9.33, KiTTY through 0.76.1.13, the net-ssh gem 7.2.0 for Ruby, the mscdex ssh2 module before 1.15.0 for Node.js, the thrussh library before 0.35.1 for Rust, and the Russh crate before 0.40.2 for Rust.
CVE-2023-24539 | 2 Golang, Redhat | 22 Go, Acm, Advanced Cluster Security and 19 more | 2024-11-29 | 7.3 High |
Angle brackets (<>) are not considered dangerous characters when inserted into CSS contexts. Templates containing multiple actions separated by a '/' character can result in unexpectedly closing the CSS context and allowing for injection of unexpected HTML, if executed with untrusted input.
CVE-2023-24537 | 2 Golang, Redhat | 21 Go, Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform and 18 more | 2024-11-29 | 7.5 High |
Calling any of the Parse functions on Go source code which contains //line directives with very large line numbers can cause an infinite loop due to integer overflow.
CVE-2014-3566 | 11 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 8 more | 28 Mac Os X, Debian Linux, Fedora and 25 more | 2024-11-27 | 3.4 Low |
The SSL protocol 3.0, as used in OpenSSL through 1.0.1i and other products, uses nondeterministic CBC padding, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain cleartext data via a padding-oracle attack, aka the "POODLE" issue.
CVE-2024-1753 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Eus | 2024-11-26 | 8.6 High |
A flaw was found in Buildah (and subsequently Podman Build) which allows containers to mount arbitrary locations on the host filesystem into build containers. A malicious Containerfile can use a dummy image with a symbolic link to the root filesystem as a mount source and cause the mount operation to mount the host root filesystem inside the RUN step. The commands inside the RUN step will then have read-write access to the host filesystem, allowing for full container escape at build time.
CVE-2024-3056 | 3 Fedoraproject, Podman Project, Redhat | 5 Fedora, Podman, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-11-26 | 7.7 High |
A flaw was found in Podman. This issue may allow an attacker to create a specially crafted container that, when configured to share the same IPC with at least one other container, can create a large number of IPC resources in /dev/shm. The malicious container will continue to exhaust resources until it is out-of-memory (OOM) killed. While the malicious container's cgroup will be removed, the IPC resources it created are not. Those resources are tied to the IPC namespace that will not be removed until all containers using it are stopped, and one non-malicious container is holding the namespace open. The malicious container is restarted, either automatically or by attacker control, repeating the process and increasing the amount of memory consumed. With a container configured to restart always, such as `podman run --restart=always`, this can result in a memory-based denial of service of the system.
CVE-2023-2727 | 2 Kubernetes, Redhat | 3 Kubernetes, Openshift, Openshift Ironic | 2024-11-25 | 6.5 Medium |
Users may be able to launch containers using images that are restricted by ImagePolicyWebhook when using ephemeral containers. Kubernetes clusters are only affected if the ImagePolicyWebhook admission plugin is used together with ephemeral containers.
CVE-2024-6538 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2024-11-25 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in OpenShift Console. A Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attack can happen if an attacker supplies all or part of a URL to the server to query. The server is considered to be in a privileged network position and can often reach exposed services that aren't readily available to clients due to network filtering. Leveraging such an attack vector, the attacker can have an impact on other services and potentially disclose information or have other nefarious effects on the system. The /api/dev-console/proxy/internet endpoint on the OpenShit Console allows authenticated users to have the console's pod perform arbitrary and fully controlled HTTP(s) requests. The full response to these requests is returned by the endpoint. While the name of this endpoint suggests the requests are only bound to the internet, no such checks are in place. An authenticated user can therefore ask the console to perform arbitrary HTTP requests from outside the cluster to a service inside the cluster.
CVE-2023-2728 | 2 Kubernetes, Redhat | 3 Kubernetes, Openshift, Openshift Ironic | 2024-11-25 | 6.5 Medium |
Users may be able to launch containers that bypass the mountable secrets policy enforced by the ServiceAccount admission plugin when using ephemeral containers. The policy ensures pods running with a service account may only reference secrets specified in the service account’s secrets field. Kubernetes clusters are only affected if the ServiceAccount admission plugin and the `kubernetes.io/enforce-mountable-secrets` annotation are used together with ephemeral containers. |
