CVE-2020-25686 | 5 Arista, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Eos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.7 Low |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. When receiving a query, dnsmasq does not check for an existing pending request for the same name and forwards a new request. By default, a maximum of 150 pending queries can be sent to upstream servers, so there can be at most 150 queries for the same name. This flaw allows an off-path attacker on the network to substantially reduce the number of attempts that it would have to perform to forge a reply and have it accepted by dnsmasq. This issue is mentioned in the "Birthday Attacks" section of RFC5452. If chained with CVE-2020-25684, the attack complexity of a successful attack is reduced. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.
CVE-2020-25685 | 5 Arista, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Eos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.7 Low |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. When getting a reply from a forwarded query, dnsmasq checks in forward.c:reply_query(), which is the forwarded query that matches the reply, by only using a weak hash of the query name. Due to the weak hash (CRC32 when dnsmasq is compiled without DNSSEC, SHA-1 when it is) this flaw allows an off-path attacker to find several different domains all having the same hash, substantially reducing the number of attempts they would have to perform to forge a reply and get it accepted by dnsmasq. This is in contrast with RFC5452, which specifies that the query name is one of the attributes of a query that must be used to match a reply. This flaw could be abused to perform a DNS Cache Poisoning attack. If chained with CVE-2020-25684 the attack complexity of a successful attack is reduced. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.
CVE-2020-25684 | 5 Arista, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Eos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.7 Low |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. When getting a reply from a forwarded query, dnsmasq checks in the forward.c:reply_query() if the reply destination address/port is used by the pending forwarded queries. However, it does not use the address/port to retrieve the exact forwarded query, substantially reducing the number of attempts an attacker on the network would have to perform to forge a reply and get it accepted by dnsmasq. This issue contrasts with RFC5452, which specifies a query's attributes that all must be used to match a reply. This flaw allows an attacker to perform a DNS Cache Poisoning attack. If chained with CVE-2020-25685 or CVE-2020-25686, the attack complexity of a successful attack is reduced. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.
CVE-2020-25659 | 3 Cryptography.io, Oracle, Redhat | 5 Cryptography, Communications Cloud Native Core Network Function Cloud Native Environment, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |

Incomplete cleanup in some Intel(R) VT-d products may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
CVE-2020-1730 | 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Libssh and 3 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Libssh and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in libssh versions before 0.8.9 and before 0.9.4 in the way it handled AES-CTR (or DES ciphers if enabled) ciphers. The server or client could crash when the connection hasn't been fully initialized and the system tries to cleanup the ciphers when closing the connection. The biggest threat from this vulnerability is system availability.
CVE-2020-16135 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |
libssh 0.9.4 has a NULL pointer dereference in tftpserver.c if ssh_buffer_new returns NULL.
CVE-2020-14364 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 Medium |
An out-of-bounds read/write access flaw was found in the USB emulator of the QEMU in versions before 5.2.0. This issue occurs while processing USB packets from a guest when USBDevice 'setup_len' exceeds its 'data_buf[4096]' in the do_token_in, do_token_out routines. This flaw allows a guest user to crash the QEMU process, resulting in a denial of service, or the potential execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the QEMU process on the host.
CVE-2020-14350 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 2 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.3 High |
It was found that some PostgreSQL extensions did not use search_path safely in their installation script. An attacker with sufficient privileges could use this flaw to trick an administrator into executing a specially crafted script, during the installation or update of such extension. This affects PostgreSQL versions before 12.4, before 11.9, before 10.14, before 9.6.19, and before 9.5.23.
CVE-2020-14349 | 3 Opensuse, Postgresql, Redhat | 7 Leap, Postgresql, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.1 High |
It was found that PostgreSQL versions before 12.4, before 11.9 and before 10.14 did not properly sanitize the search_path during logical replication. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw in an attack similar to CVE-2018-1058, in order to execute arbitrary SQL command in the context of the user used for replication. |
