Integer underflow in the add_pseudoheader function in dnsmasq before 2.78 , when the --add-mac, --add-cpe-id or --add-subnet option is specified, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted DNS request.
CVE-2017-14494 5 Canonical, Debian, Novell and 2 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 6 more 2025-04-20 N/A
dnsmasq before 2.78, when configured as a relay, allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive memory information via vectors involving handling DHCPv6 forwarded requests.
CVE-2017-12991 2 Redhat, Tcpdump 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump 2025-04-20 N/A
The BGP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-bgp.c:bgp_attr_print().
CVE-2017-7407 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Curl, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 2.4 Low
The ourWriteOut function in tool_writeout.c in curl 7.53.1 might allow physically proximate attackers to obtain sensitive information from process memory in opportunistic circumstances by reading a workstation screen during use of a --write-out argument ending in a '%' character, which leads to a heap-based buffer over-read.
CVE-2017-5342 2 Redhat, Tcpdump 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump 2025-04-20 N/A
In tcpdump before 4.9.0, a bug in multiple protocol parsers (Geneve, GRE, NSH, OTV, VXLAN and VXLAN GPE) could cause a buffer overflow in print-ether.c:ether_print().
CVE-2017-13008 2 Redhat, Tcpdump 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump 2025-04-20 N/A
The IEEE 802.11 parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-802_11.c:parse_elements().
CVE-2017-1000257 3 Debian, Haxx, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Libcurl, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
An IMAP FETCH response line indicates the size of the returned data, in number of bytes. When that response says the data is zero bytes, libcurl would pass on that (non-existing) data with a pointer and the size (zero) to the deliver-data function. libcurl's deliver-data function treats zero as a magic number and invokes strlen() on the data to figure out the length. The strlen() is called on a heap based buffer that might not be zero terminated so libcurl might read beyond the end of it into whatever memory lies after (or just crash) and then deliver that to the application as if it was actually downloaded.
CVE-2017-1000100 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Libcurl, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
When doing a TFTP transfer and curl/libcurl is given a URL that contains a very long file name (longer than about 515 bytes), the file name is truncated to fit within the buffer boundaries, but the buffer size is still wrongly updated to use the untruncated length. This too large value is then used in the sendto() call, making curl attempt to send more data than what is actually put into the buffer. The endto() function will then read beyond the end of the heap based buffer. A malicious HTTP(S) server could redirect a vulnerable libcurl-using client to a crafted TFTP URL (if the client hasn't restricted which protocols it allows redirects to) and trick it to send private memory contents to a remote server over UDP. Limit curl's redirect protocols with --proto-redir and libcurl's with CURLOPT_REDIR_PROTOCOLS.
CVE-2017-9074 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 1 more 2025-04-20 7.8 High
The IPv6 fragmentation implementation in the Linux kernel through 4.11.1 does not consider that the nexthdr field may be associated with an invalid option, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and BUG) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted socket and send system calls.
CVE-2017-8393 1 Gnu 1 Binutils 2025-04-20 N/A
The Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, is vulnerable to a global buffer over-read error because of an assumption made by code that runs for objcopy and strip, that SHT_REL/SHR_RELA sections are always named starting with a .rel/.rela prefix. This vulnerability causes programs that conduct an analysis of binary programs using the libbfd library, such as objcopy and strip, to crash.
CVE-2016-9959 4 Game-music-emu Project, Opensuse, Opensuse Project and 1 more 9 Game-music-emu, Leap, Opensuse and 6 more 2025-04-20 N/A
game-music-emu before 0.6.1 allows remote attackers to generate out of bounds 8-bit values.
CVE-2017-14939 1 Gnu 1 Binutils 2025-04-20 N/A
decode_line_info in dwarf2.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.29, mishandles a length calculation, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted ELF file, related to read_1_byte.
CVE-2017-8396 1 Gnu 1 Binutils 2025-04-20 N/A
The Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, is vulnerable to an invalid read of size 1 because the existing reloc offset range tests didn't catch small negative offsets less than the size of the reloc field. This vulnerability causes programs that conduct an analysis of binary programs using the libbfd library, such as objdump, to crash.
CVE-2017-8380 1 Qemu 1 Qemu 2025-04-20 N/A
Buffer overflow in the "megasas_mmio_write" function in Qemu 2.9.0 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via unknown vectors.
CVE-2014-9840 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2025-04-20 N/A
ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds access) via a crafted palm file.
CVE-2017-3019 3 Adobe, Apple, Microsoft 6 Acrobat, Acrobat Dc, Acrobat Reader Dc and 3 more 2025-04-20 N/A
Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 11.0.19 and earlier, 15.006.30280 and earlier, 15.023.20070 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability in the Product Representation Compact (PRC) format parser. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2017-14529 1 Gnu 1 Binutils 2025-04-20 N/A
The pe_print_idata function in peXXigen.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.29, mishandles HintName vector entries, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted PE file, related to the bfd_getl16 function.
