CVE-2023-38201 | 3 Fedoraproject, Keylime, Redhat | 9 Fedora, Keylime, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2025-08-31 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Keylime registrar that could allow a bypass of the challenge-response protocol during agent registration. This issue may allow an attacker to impersonate an agent and hide the true status of a monitored machine if the fake agent is added to the verifier list by a legitimate user, resulting in a breach of the integrity of the registrar database.
CVE-2023-38200 | 3 Fedoraproject, Keylime, Redhat | 9 Fedora, Keylime, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2025-08-31 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in Keylime. Due to their blocking nature, the Keylime registrar is subject to a remote denial of service against its SSL connections. This flaw allows an attacker to exhaust all available connections.
CVE-2023-3758 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 25 Fedora, Sssd, Codeready Linux Builder and 22 more | 2025-08-31 | 7.1 High |
A race condition flaw was found in sssd where the GPO policy is not consistently applied for authenticated users. This may lead to improper authorization issues, granting or denying access to resources inappropriately.
CVE-2023-7250 | 2 Es, Redhat | 5 Iperf3, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 2 more | 2025-08-30 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in iperf, a utility for testing network performance using TCP, UDP, and SCTP. A malicious or malfunctioning client can send less than the expected amount of data to the iperf server, which can cause the server to hang indefinitely waiting for the remainder or until the connection gets closed. This will prevent other connections to the server, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2023-5992 | 2 Opensc Project, Redhat | 11 Opensc, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more | 2025-08-30 | 5.6 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in OpenSC where PKCS#1 encryption padding removal is not implemented as side-channel resistant. This issue may result in the potential leak of private data.
CVE-2023-42669 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Ibm Z Systems and 7 more | 2025-08-30 | 6.5 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in Samba's "rpcecho" development server, a non-Windows RPC server used to test Samba's DCE/RPC stack elements. This vulnerability stems from an RPC function that can be blocked indefinitely. The issue arises because the "rpcecho" service operates with only one worker in the main RPC task, allowing calls to the "rpcecho" server to be blocked for a specified time, causing service disruptions. This disruption is triggered by a "sleep()" call in the "dcesrv_echo_TestSleep()" function under specific conditions. Authenticated users or attackers can exploit this vulnerability to make calls to the "rpcecho" server, requesting it to block for a specified duration, effectively disrupting most services and leading to a complete denial of service on the AD DC. The DoS affects all other services as "rpcecho" runs in the main RPC task.
CVE-2024-0408 | 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more | 12 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 9 more | 2025-08-29 | 5.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the X.Org server. The GLX PBuffer code does not call the XACE hook when creating the buffer, leaving it unlabeled. When the client issues another request to access that resource (as with a GetGeometry) or when it creates another resource that needs to access that buffer, such as a GC, the XSELINUX code will try to use an object that was never labeled and crash because the SID is NULL.
CVE-2024-0409 | 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more | 12 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 9 more | 2025-08-29 | 7.8 High |
A flaw was found in the X.Org server. The cursor code in both Xephyr and Xwayland uses the wrong type of private at creation. It uses the cursor bits type with the cursor as private, and when initiating the cursor, that overwrites the XSELINUX context.
CVE-2023-3899 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 24 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 21 more | 2025-08-27 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in subscription-manager that allows local privilege escalation due to inadequate authorization. The D-Bus interface com.redhat.RHSM1 exposes a significant number of methods to all users that could change the state of the registration. By using the com.redhat.RHSM1.Config.SetAll() method, a low-privileged local user could tamper with the state of the registration, by unregistering the system or by changing the current entitlements. This flaw allows an attacker to set arbitrary configuration directives for /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf, which can be abused to cause a local privilege escalation to an unconfined root.
CVE-2023-3972 | 1 Redhat | 23 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 20 more | 2025-08-27 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in insights-client. This security issue occurs because of insecure file operations or unsafe handling of temporary files and directories that lead to local privilege escalation. Before the insights-client has been registered on the system by root, an unprivileged local user or attacker could create the /var/tmp/insights-client directory (owning the directory with read, write, and execute permissions) on the system. After the insights-client is registered by root, an attacker could then control the directory content that insights are using by putting malicious scripts into it and executing arbitrary code as root (trivially bypassing SELinux protections because insights processes are allowed to disable SELinux system-wide).
CVE-2024-9675 | 2 Buildah Project, Redhat | 21 Buildah, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 18 more | 2025-08-25 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in Buildah. Cache mounts do not properly validate that user-specified paths for the cache are within our cache directory, allowing a `RUN` instruction in a Container file to mount an arbitrary directory from the host (read/write) into the container as long as those files can be accessed by the user running Buildah.
CVE-2023-4527 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 32 Fedora, Glibc, H300s and 29 more | 2025-08-21 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in glibc. When the getaddrinfo function is called with the AF_UNSPEC address family and the system is configured with no-aaaa mode via /etc/resolv.conf, a DNS response via TCP larger than 2048 bytes can potentially disclose stack contents through the function returned address data, and may cause a crash.
CVE-2023-4911 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 40 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 37 more | 2025-08-21 | 7.8 High |
A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
CVE-2023-4806 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat | 24 Fedora, Glibc, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 21 more | 2025-08-18 | 5.9 Medium |
A flaw was found in glibc. In an extremely rare situation, the getaddrinfo function may access memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when a NSS module implements only the _nss_*_gethostbyname2_r and _nss_*_getcanonname_r hooks without implementing the _nss_*_gethostbyname3_r hook. The resolved name should return a large number of IPv6 and IPv4, and the call to the getaddrinfo function should have the AF_INET6 address family with AI_CANONNAME, AI_ALL and AI_V4MAPPED as flags.
CVE-2025-3155 | 3 Debian, Gnome, Redhat | 25 Debian Linux, Yelp, Codeready Linux Builder and 22 more | 2025-08-13 | 7.4 High |
A flaw was found in Yelp. The Gnome user help application allows the help document to execute arbitrary scripts. This vulnerability allows malicious users to input help documents, which may exfiltrate user files to an external environment.
CVE-2024-12088 | 8 Almalinux, Archlinux, Gentoo and 5 more | 21 Almalinux, Arch Linux, Linux and 18 more | 2025-08-13 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in rsync. When using the `--safe-links` option, the rsync client fails to properly verify if a symbolic link destination sent from the server contains another symbolic link within it. This results in a path traversal vulnerability, which may lead to arbitrary file write outside the desired directory.
CVE-2024-12087 | 8 Almalinux, Archlinux, Gentoo and 5 more | 20 Almalinux, Arch Linux, Linux and 17 more | 2025-08-13 | 6.5 Medium |
A path traversal vulnerability exists in rsync. It stems from behavior enabled by the `--inc-recursive` option, a default-enabled option for many client options and can be enabled by the server even if not explicitly enabled by the client. When using the `--inc-recursive` option, a lack of proper symlink verification coupled with deduplication checks occurring on a per-file-list basis could allow a server to write files outside of the client's intended destination directory. A malicious server could write malicious files to arbitrary locations named after valid directories/paths on the client.
CVE-2024-12085 | 8 Almalinux, Archlinux, Gentoo and 5 more | 28 Almalinux, Arch Linux, Linux and 25 more | 2025-08-13 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in rsync which could be triggered when rsync compares file checksums. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate the checksum length (s2length) to cause a comparison between a checksum and uninitialized memory and leak one byte of uninitialized stack data at a time.
CVE-2023-5870 | 2 Postgresql, Redhat | 22 Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more | 2025-08-06 | 2.2 Low |
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL involving the pg_cancel_backend role that signals background workers, including the logical replication launcher, autovacuum workers, and the autovacuum launcher. Successful exploitation requires a non-core extension with a less-resilient background worker and would affect that specific background worker only. This issue may allow a remote high privileged user to launch a denial of service (DoS) attack.
CVE-2024-9676 | 1 Redhat | 20 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 17 more | 2025-08-06 | 6.5 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host. |
