The HTTP/2 implementation in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M21 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.15 bypassed a number of security checks that prevented directory traversal attacks. It was therefore possible to bypass security constraints using a specially crafted URL.
CVE-2017-12074 1 Synology 1 Dns Server 2025-04-20 N/A
Directory traversal vulnerability in the SYNO.DNSServer.Zone.MasterZoneConf in Synology DNS Server before 2.2.1-3042 allows remote authenticated attackers to write arbitrary files via the domain_name parameter.
CVE-2016-4323 3 Canonical, Debian, Pidgin 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Pidgin 2025-04-20 N/A
A directory traversal exists in the handling of the MXIT protocol in Pidgin. Specially crafted MXIT data sent from the server could potentially result in an overwrite of files. A malicious server or someone with access to the network traffic can provide an invalid filename for a splash image triggering the vulnerability.
CVE-2017-11469 1 Idera 1 Uptime Infrastructure Monitor 2025-04-20 N/A
get2post.php in IDERA Uptime Monitor 7.8 has directory traversal in the file_name parameter.
CVE-2017-11440 1 Sitecore 1 Cms 2025-04-20 N/A
In Sitecore 8.2, there is absolute path traversal via the shell/Applications/Layouts/IDE.aspx fi parameter and the admin/LinqScratchPad.aspx Reference parameter.
CVE-2017-5219 1 Sagecrm 1 Sagecrm 2025-04-20 N/A
An issue was discovered in SageCRM 7.x before 7.3 SP3. The Component Manager functionality, provided by SageCRM, permits additional components to be added to the application to enhance provided functionality. This functionality allows a zip file to be uploaded, containing a valid .ecf component file, which will be extracted to the inf directory outside of the webroot. By creating a zip file containing an empty .ecf file, to pass file-validation checks, any other file provided in zip file will be extracted onto the filesystem. In this case, a web shell with the filename '..\WWWRoot\CustomPages\aspshell.asp' was included within the zip file that, when extracted, traversed back out of the inf directory and into the SageCRM webroot. This permitted remote interaction with the underlying filesystem with the highest privilege level, SYSTEM.
CVE-2017-5261 1 Cambiumnetworks 10 Cnpilot E400, Cnpilot E400 Firmware, Cnpilot E410 and 7 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In versions 4.3.2-R4 and prior of Cambium Networks cnPilot firmware, the 'ping' and 'traceroute' functions of the web administrative console expose a file path traversal vulnerability, accessible to all authenticated users.
CVE-2017-11162 1 Synology 1 Photo Station 2025-04-20 N/A
Directory traversal vulnerability in synphotoio in Synology Photo Station before 6.7.4-3433 and 6.3-2968 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via unspecified vectors.
CVE-2017-11152 1 Synology 1 Photo Station 2025-04-20 N/A
Directory traversal vulnerability in PixlrEditorHandler.php in Synology Photo Station before 6.7.3-3432 and 6.3-2967 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files via the path parameter.
CVE-2017-5966 1 Sitecore 1 Crm 2025-04-20 N/A
Sitecore CRM 8.1 Rev 151207 allows remote authenticated administrators to read arbitrary files via an absolute path traversal attack on sitecore/shell/download.aspx with the file parameter.
CVE-2017-5946 2 Debian, Rubyzip Project 2 Debian Linux, Rubyzip 2025-04-20 9.8 Critical
The Zip::File component in the rubyzip gem before 1.2.1 for Ruby has a directory traversal vulnerability. If a site allows uploading of .zip files, an attacker can upload a malicious file that uses "../" pathname substrings to write arbitrary files to the filesystem.
CVE-2017-6636 1 Cisco 1 Prime Collaboration Provisioning 2025-04-20 N/A
A vulnerability in the web interface of Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning Software (prior to Release 11.1) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to view any file on an affected system. The vulnerability exists because the affected software does not perform proper input validation of HTTP requests and fails to apply role-based access controls (RBACs) to requested HTTP URLs. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request that uses directory traversal techniques to submit a path to a desired file location on an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view any file on the system. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvc99604.
